The Los Angeles Lakers have a loaded roster for the 2017 Las Vegas Summer League. We break the down the roster and provide some analysis for each player.

In the middle of June, the Los Angeles Lakers released their schedule for the 2017 Las Vegas Summer League. The Lakers will have some interesting matchups, as they will face off with the Los Angeles Clippers, Boston Celtics, and Sacramento Kings.

It will be fun to watch top-five picks face off, as the Celtics had the third pick in the draft, and selected Duke forward Jayson Tatum. The Kings had a top-five pick of their own, selecting Kentucky point guard De’Aaron Fox with the fifth pick.

The Las Vegas Summer League will give Lakers fans the first time to see their own draft picks in action. Fans will also see some other exciting young players, such as last year’s draft picks Brandon Ingram and Ivica Zubac. In addition to those youngsters, the Lakers have an interesting mix of undrafted free agent and NBA G-League players.

Looking at the Lakers Summer League team and you will see a loaded roster. It is clear what their goal was, as each player fills a specific need for the team. Whether it be three-point shooting, defense, or position versatility, the Lakers have a very intriguing roster put together to head to Las Vegas with.

There are a number of players that we will see playing for the Lakers come October when the regular season rolls around. Other players will have a chance to earn a spot at training camp with a chance to play themselves onto the roster.
