Josh McRoberts Out Of Action Again

One upon a time Josh McRoberts was a Portland Trailblazer. The former Duke Blue Devil broke into the NBA with Rip City though you might have missed it if you blinked.

As it turns out McRoberts will be missing out on his first taste of the Lakers-Blazers rivalry from the other side of the fence.

That nagging toe injury that forced McLoberts out of action against the Houston Rockets is still lingering and will likely keep the energetic reserve sidelined tomorrow for the game against Golden State. Beyond that he’s still day-to-day.

While his absence does leave the bench slightly thinner it also provides the opportunity for Troy Murphy to get a little more burn. With chemistry concerns at an all-time high around the league no thanks to the lockout every injury carries an extra weight.

So far the McRoberts acquisition has been solid. His energy and athleticism have proven vital to the Lake Show and will be very necessary throughout the year. Hopefully this isn’t something that will be problematic going forward.
