First things first. LSL would like to wish the man that might go down as the greatest Laker ever a very happy birthday.
As of today Kobe Bryant is officially rocking a Paul Pierce as the man formerly known as KB8 turns 34.
Congrats!
What’s insane is that Kobe is entering his 17th season in the NBA. Do the quick math and you’ll realize that means he’ll have spent half of his life playing pro ball in the world’s most competitive hoops league. Let that sink in for a second.
Kobe entered the league as a 17-year-old, 17 years later he’s been to 7 NBA Finals and has a nice collection of 5 rings. That’s a truly amazing resume and one that might not be duplicated for a long time if ever again.
As a fan it’s also hard to believe it’s been more than a decade and a half of the Bryant era in Los Angeles. But I guess time flies when you’re attending parades every three years on average.
Here’s hoping Kobe will be celebrating his 35th birthday as a 6 time world champion.
