6x NBA champion

2x Finals MVP

5x NBA MVP

19x NBA All-Star

As if being the NBA’s all-time leading scorer didn’t send a loud enough message, he finished with three MVP’s and five championships after coming the the Lakers at the age of 28.

He still remains the Lakers’ leader in career blocks, as well as offensive (2,494) and defensive rebounds (7,785).

In Lakers’ postseason history, Abdul-Jabbar ranks 6th in assists (540), 4th in games played (180), 3rd in points (4,070), 4th in rebounds (1,525) and 1st in blocks (437) all time.

While his most dominant years were with the Milwaukee Bucks, Abdul-Jabbar was integral in forming the Lakers’ golden years and his two decades of play helped shape the league we know and love today.
