Metta came to the Lakers for one reason: win a title. He was seen as someone who could help lock-down the physical the Paul Pierce if they were to meet in the NBA Finals again. Sure enough they did, and sure enough the two locked up most of the series. In the end, the Lakers pulled off the memorable victory. Immediately afterwards, Metta was interviewed on the sidelines where he infamously thanked his psychiatrist before announcing the release of his new single.
