4. Jordan Farmar is back and as good as ever
When Jordan Farmar left Turkey to return to LA, Lakers fans were excited, and rightfully so. A hometown boy, Farmar grew up under our eyes, playing an important role in both of the title winning teams of the late 2000s. When he left, fans were more than upset that management seemingly chose Fisher over him. Farmar’s career derailed a bit post-Lakers, resulting in him seeking Europe as his option. But this summer, after seeking out the Lakers, Farmar agreed to a buy-out with his Turkish club and came home. On Saturday, he proved he was as good as he’s ever been. The highlight of his night and one of the highlights of the game saw Farmar pull off this Nash-esque pass.
I predicted early on that Farmar would play the back-up point guard by season’s end, but Farmar may move into that role sooner rather than later. He’s perfectly made for the Mike D’Antoni offense and will thrive this season.
