Grade: A
The conventional wisdom on Nick Young was that he was high volume gunner with poor shot selection and no interest in the other facets of the game. Nick Young has been a godsend for the Lakers this season. On the season he’s averaging 14.2 points a game in 25 minutes a night. While he still takes difficult shots too often, Young has made a more concerted attempt to get to the basket and foul line. He’s been the Lakers most consistent scorer, reaching double digits in points in all but 4 games. While there is some wildness to his game, he does not turn it over. Since moving to the bench, he’s scored at least 16 points in 8 of 12 games. Young has also began to defend and share the ball. Swaggy P personifies fun. He’s always smiling and gesturing, his teammates love him, and most of all he gets buckets. Great addition.
