The Pacers are reportedly looking for bench scoring. Jodie Meeks would be and has been a lights out scorer, even off the bench. At best, the Lakers can get a 2nd round pick out of him. Both Rasual Butler and Orlando Johnson’s contracts can come off the books this summer, meaning no contracts into 2014-15. The second round pick would give LA one they don’t have, albeit it likely the last pick of the draft. Still, the last two Lakers 2nd round draft picks – Robert Sacre and Ryan Kelly – have turned out well.
CHANCES OF TRADE HAPPENING: 35%. The trade makes sense both ways, but neither side have even been rumored to be anywhere near engaged in trade talks.
