Honorable Mentions
Did anyone else notice that Noah Vonleh, Doug McDermott, Gary Harris, Jusif Nurkic, and Tyler Ennis were not mentioned? This isn’t a mock draft by any means, but it is a reflection of just how strong the talent is within the first 15 picks of the NBA draft. Every year, certain skills don’t translate to NBA-style offenses. Otherwise, Steve Alford would have had a Hall of Fame career and Jimmer Fredette would be an All-Star. The players chosen for #6 through #10 can play both ends of the floor and have the uniting theme of great work ethic showing itself on the floor. That’s the difference between boys and men. That’s the difference between being good and being great.
That is also, what will get respect from the veterans on the team, and build team chemistry much faster for a championship run.
After all, that is the goal of the next two years.
