The Lakers need help everywhere. Interior defensive presence was a huge issue all last season with the absence of Dwight Howard. Pick and roll defensive coverage could be considered sub-par at best. He’s a defensive-oriented player with the youth, athleticism, and work ethic to be groomed into a future All-Star player. Unlike most All-Star players, he would likely play both ends of the floor, equally well, at a high level.
