The Case for Dario Saric
By Mike Garcia
How does he fit the team?
Simply put, the Lakers need help everywhere. One way to be a more effective team is to become more dynamic on the offensive end. Lots of teams incorporate pick-and-roll in order to become effective. Teams like the Spurs incorporate that play, along with additional offensive sets to become more unpredictable. Their system allows the players to excel. Dario Saric fits well on transition teams as well as half-court teams. He would be a mismatch every game, and help provide the spacing that Kobe Bryant needs in the post, and Gasol as well, assuming he’s resigned. Admittedly, there would be major concerns about the Lakers team in terms of interior defense, but the passing and creativity of Pau Gasol and Dario Saric would make for a lot of easy points.
