I promise, this is the only “trick” answer. But nonetheless, Bazemore deserves a long look by the Lakers front office, and I think they’ll give it to him. In his short time in LA, he showed flashes of being an explosive player. Consistency is an issue, as is refining his game, but it’s nothing worth not bringing him back for.
They key here is that he’ll be cheap, and likely won’t be offered a contract of anything substantial. The Lakers will likely match the offer and Bazemore will spend the next couple years in LA, giving the Lakers fans a project for the future.
