Julius Randle
Mar 23, 2014; St. Louis, MO, USA; Kentucky Wildcats forward Julius Randle (30) reacts against the Wichita State Shockers during the first half in the third round of the 2014 NCAA Men
Third on the list is Julius Randle. There has been a lot of controversy all year when it came to Julius Randle. First, his wingspan isn’t long enough. It turns out it’s 7′, perfectly good for the power forward slot. Then it was his ability to play defense, when he clearly has the physical tools to develop. Now, it’s a potential foot injury issue. The foot injury issue had him slip from my perspective. He hasn’t cancelled workouts. He’s going to miss the Summer Pro League heading into the NBA season. He’s still a tremendous talent from this draft, and capable of being a 20 point per game, 10 rebound per game player down the line. He even lost 20lbs. within the past two weeks, which shows tremendous commitment to the game. Question marks remain about his foot injury.
