Anthony Ireland is a 5’10” jitterbug point guard from Loyola Marymount. He thrives as a transition guard. He’s an 18 point per game, 5 assists per game player. While he may not have a chance to make the Laker roster, he does have talent in regards to getting into the paint and getting a shot off. However, his 40% field goal percentage and 30% behind the arc need to improve for him to play at high ranks internationally.
Kevin Murphy is an NBDL pick up. He scored over 25 points per game in just under 36 minutes of play. Unlike the combo guards listed before him, he’s more of a traditional swingman between the small forward and shooting guard slots. Ball-handling is an issue for him, but he is a high-volume 3-point shooter who shot over 39% behind the arc last season on nearly five attempts per game. Considering the ball-handling abilities of Clarkson, Kane, Beaubois, and Marshall, they’ll need a shooter to kick out to, and that is Kevin Murphy.
