5. Xavier Henry
Henry was quite the productive player last season, when he was healthy. At it was the latter part of that sentence that kept teams from bringing him in this summer. However, if healthy, Henry could be a great addition to a contending team.
Henry averaged career highs across the board last year, putting up an impressive stat line of 10.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.0 steals, all in 21.1 minutes of action per night. It was the 43 games he played, or more specifically the 39 he didn’t, that most led to the causes of concern.
If Henry can stay healthy this year and contribute at a similar level, he’d a great bench piece for a contending team. His ability to get to the rim and athleticism endears himself to teams, and he can draw fouls at a high amount. His free throw rate, which calculates the number free throws per field goal attempt, was 51.3%, which compared to the 55.2% of James Harden, a very high mark.
