Point Guard – Derek Fisher
“El Captain” as he was known toward the end of his tenure with the Lakers. Fisher spent the majority of the decade in Los Angeles with a three-year hiatus in the middle. However, he was apart of all five title-winning teams of the decade, the only other person aside from Kobe Bryant.
Stats wise, Fisher may not have been the most prolific. However, aside from winning the position on this team by default, Fisher had the ever publicized intangibles. He was the perfect complement to Bryant, both on-and-off the court. It was the clutch moments, however, that made Fisher the cult hero.
The list is long and littered with playoff moments that often led to the Lakers winning titles.
