Looking Back: 1990s Lakers All-Decade Team
By Jacob Rude
Small Forward – James Worthy
Much like the 2000s, the Lakers small forward has been a revolving door, but that all started after James Worthy retired. Worthy spent five seasons in the 90s on the Lakers, averaging 19.3 points on the tail end of his career.
The other considerations were very limited. Cedric Ceballos was the immediate successor and did well as a scorer, but only played two seasons in Los Angeles. Glen Rice and Rick Fox spent time there, but no one was as successful as Worthy.
While he didn’t have nearly as many “Big Game James” moments in the 90s, he was still the best player of the decade at small forward and he was still one of the best in the league.
Honorable Mention: Cedric Ceballos, Glen Rice, Rick Fox
