Small Forwards – LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony
No position is better, and no position has more question marks. All three together form an incredible trio. But none of them played in this summer’s competition. For James and Carmelo Anthony, their age will be a factor, with the duo at 31 and 32, respectively. Durant will be in the same shoes as LeBron this year. Having already won a gold, will he see it a mission for a second?
At this point, the biggest question will be who is the country’s best player: Durant or James. Long having been the titleholder, we saw James’ grasp start to slip as Durant took home the MVP award this year. However, with a return home to Cleveland, James may be revitalized and return to his best.
Anthony has showed us that his international form is like no other. He can score in bunches, and that’s an understatement. Fans may remember his performance against Nigeria in the ’12 Olympics. 37 points in 14 minutes!!!! If he’s on Team USA in ’16, it’s because of that.
