2. Jeremy Lin, Ed Davis continue to impress
Aside from Randle, Lin and Davis were the next brightest stars on the night. Lin continued to look comfortable running the second unit, scoring 13 points, dishing 5 assists, grabbing 3 rebounds, and continuing to find his groove with the team. For most of the night, he looked better than Ronnie Price in every aspect aside from defense, looking like a more comfortable leader.
On the other end of the court, Davis continued his impressive and surprising start on the defensive end, swatting four shots and grabbing four rebounds. His best highlight, however, came late in the fourth quarter when he caught a Lin lob on a pick and roll, hammering it home from high above the rim and nailing the coffin closed.
For the majority of the game, the trio of Lin-Randle-Davis were on the court together, and the chemistry between them was strong. If they continue this on Friday, it’ll be hard NOT to start the trio on opening night alongside Kobe Bryant and Wes Johnson.
