Overall, it has seemed like a long preseason. A few players have already gone through a little rollercoaster. Jeremy Lin plays well, but has gotten injured. Julius Randle looked inconsistent early on, but now has a jumpshot after three weeks of play. Ronnie Price set the tone defensively for the Laker team, but recently got injured.
Some players didn’t even make the floor. Ryan Kelly and Xavier Henry are two key players from last season. Their contributions are needed to make the Lakers competitive every night.
There is plenty of reason for optimism. The young players keep the Lakers entertaining to watch. We may be watching some future Lakers develop before our eyes.
It has me looking to the upcoming season.
