Kobe Bryant is currently averaging 26.7 points per game through seven games this season. Not only is that well above his career average, it’s also better than four of his previous prime years. It’s better than his scoring average in 2002, 2004, and 2011. Yes, he may have had a more concerted effort with playmaking during those respective years, but several of those years were in championship contention.
