If we look at the most recent championship years of the Lakers, the team always had at least one elite shotblocker, one elite man-defender along the perimeter, and another great defender off-the-ball. Think of the combinations we have been spoiled with. We had Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, and Rick Fox. We had Andrew Bynum, Kobe Bryant, and Trevor Ariza. We had Pau Gasol, Kobe Bryant, and Metta World Peace.
Those days are over. When we look at the roster, what do we see?
