Regular Season Minutes Played

All-Time Leader – Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 57,446 minutes

Another accomplishment of longevity for Bryant and any player in the top 10. Anyone who can physically run up and down the court for that many minutes deserves accolades.

Bryant currently has played 46,452 minutes over his 19-years, good enough for 11th all-time right now. Only Kevin Garnett sits above him and he’s a solid 3000 minutes more than Bryant. Over his previous 18 years, Bryant averages 2581 minutes per season, which means it’s unlikely Bryant catches Garnett, even if KG is on pace for far fewer minutes this year than his career average.

Projected Career-End Total – 50,729 minutes, 4th all-time

Field Goals Made/Attempted

All-Time Leader – Abdul-Jabbar 15,837 FGM/28,307 FGA

On each list, Bryant projects to be the highest finishing perimeter player, edging out Jordan in field goal makes and shattering the competition in field goal attempts.

Currently, Bryant has 11,269 field goals made on 24,934 field goals attempted. While he’s on pace for a lot of field goals attempted and made this year, it’s hard to project forward if that pace will stay not only through this year but into next. For now, instead of playing a guessing game of how many more shots Bryant will make and take, we’ll stick to averages.

Bryant is chasing history in both these categories, with no one active in the same ballpark as him in either category.

Projected Career-End Total – 12,283 FGM, 4th all-time/27,082 FGA, 2nd all-time
