24 Reasons Kobe Bryant Is Better Than Michael Jordan

19. Single-game three-point record

Bryant may not necessarily be known as a marksman from deep, but on this night in 2003, he could hardly miss from behind the arc.

The Black Mamba would set multiple records on this night. First, he hit his first nine three-pointers to start the game, tying an NBA mark. After missing his next three-pointer, Bryant hit back-to-back bombs, tying the NBA mark for three-pointers in a game with 11…in the third quarter.

Unfortunately for us fans, Bryant could only make one more three, enough to break the record, but not as many as he could have considering his torrid pace to start. Simple for comparisons sake, Jordan’s career high for three pointers in a game was seven, while he also hit the six three-pointer plateau three more times. Bryant has had 11 games with seven made three-pointers and 19 games with six three-pointers.

Game. Set. Match.
