Not a great homecoming for Jeremy Lin
Three years ago, Linsanity broke out in New York and Lin’s best performance came against the Lakers. Lin torched the Lakers for 38 points as the Knicks won 92-85. That was not a bad Laker team, as the team still had Kobe Bryant, and the league’s best center at the time, Andrew Bynum.
Where was that Jeremy Lin?
Lin played 24 minutes and scored just 4 points on 1-3 shooting, and four turnovers. Seriously, how is this the same player as three years ago? We don’t expect Clarkson to be a great play maker, but Lin has been disappointing all year. Lin made it in this league by being a ruthless rim attacker and a solid play maker. The absence of that may just drive him out of the league. Lin has been very inconsistent this year, and on a big stage, where he is known to excel, he played one of his worst games of the season.
Lin had one play where he gave a nice pass to Ed Davis for a dunk, but other than that, he looked lost throughout the entire game.
Better watch out Jeremy Lin, because if you don’t start playing well, a player by the name of D’Angelo Russell might have something to say about your odds of getting re-signed.
