Jahlil Okafor

The Duke freshman is already averaging 18 points and 9 rebounds. What stands out about his game is his field goal percentage, currently at 66.5%. As a center, players with that kind of field goal percentage are known for just finishing right at the hoop. While Okafor has had his share of dunks, a lot of his made shots have come from tremendous post skills in isolation situations.  He has large hands, a tremendous wingspan, great footwork, and a great base.  This allows him to get soft shots around the rim. His post skills are on par with Al Jefferson right now, and he’s only going to get better. While he has worked on his 12′ angled bank-shot, more dramatic improvement needs to come both defensively and at the free throw line.
