It will be interesting to see how the Lakers approach free agency. Traditionally the Lakers are a prime location for free agents, but that has not been the case the last couple of season. Mitch Kupchak will have a very busy June and July trying to decide who to bring to Los Angeles.
Have we have seen the last of Jeremy Lin in purple and gold? He should have plenty of offers to choose from this off-season, but will the Lakers be one of them. According to Mark Medina of the LA Daily News, Lin has not ruled out a return to the Lakers:
Most believe Lin is headed else-where after having and up and down season with the Lakers. Lin didn’t get off to the best start, but as the season progressed, he improved and his peers and coaches noticed.
Lin averaged 11.2 points and 4.6 assists this season, but more importantly he showed he can still be an offensive threat in the second half of the season. He was responsible for a few wins and those performances were good enough to impress other NBA teams.
Lin wants to go where he is wanted and needed. Lin didn’t fit in right away here in Los Angeles, but his progression is part of the reason why he could be back next year.
