5. December 30, 2014: Lakers at Denver Nuggets
The Nuggets are a team with good personnel, but since George Karl was fired, they’ve had a hard time winning except when they play the Lakers. The memory of Ty Lawson running circles around the Lakers, and Kenneth Faried destroying Dwight Howard two years before, will stick with me a long time. This time, however, the Lakers emerged with a rare victory, 111 – 103. Bryant had another triple-double, finishing with 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. With December almost over, the end of Bryant’s season was fast approaching.
