Steph Curry was awarded the NBA MVP on Monday morning and it was well deserved. After leading the Warriors to 67 wins this season, Curry was given the highest individual honor, although Kobe Bryant and Tarik Black publicly supported the runner-up, James Harden.

Curry got the opportunity to thank everyone in his life who has helped him along the way. It was an emotional speech, but Curry made sure to share some of the spotlight.
Draymond Green then turned into a reporter when Curry was taking question from the media. Green mentioned having a conversations with Warriors’ assistant Luke Walton about his days in the NBA. Walton had revealed to Green that Kobe Bryant had given watches to all his teammates after he won the MVP, so Green was wondering what Curry had in store. According to Marcus Thompson of the Bay Area News Group, Curry vowed to get better gifts than what Kobe got in 2008:
Curry will have to dig into his pockets to beat Kobe’s gifts. According to CSNBayArea.com, the watches Kobe bought were worth about $9,000 each, so Curry will have his work cut out for him.
Curry has a lot of endorsements coming his way, so it shouldn’t be a problem for the Splash Brother. Maybe Curry can ask Kobe for a discount on those Vino Hublot watches.
