With the NBA playoffs still in full swing, there is still a lot of time in between now and the start of the 2015-16 season. Although we are in May, today was a rare day in which we thought about Christmas.
Paul Lukas of Uni Watch gave us a rare treat and leaked photos of the 2015 NBA Christmas jerseys. Check out what the Laker Christmas jerseys look like:
In comparison to this past season’s Christmas jerseys, these are definitely much better. Adidas finally got rid of the sleeves, which was a smart decision considering the backlash those jerseys received.
What stands out is the script on the front of the jersey. According to Lukas, the jersey is supposed to remind you of the fancy script you see on Christmas cards:
"The script chest insignia are meant to evoke the feel of the fancy script on a Christmas card. I think most of them are pretty nice on their own, although the repeated template waters down the visual effect a bit. I’m not sure why they chose to have the scripts running uphill with the uni numbers offset to one side, but I like it — reminds me of the Cavs’ uniforms from the first LeBron era."
This will definitely make for a good Christmas gift and if the Lakers are given the opportunity to play in Christmas again, Kobe and the rest of the Lakers will look great.
