Lakers News: Stanley Johnson Praises Kobe’s Workouts
By Alex Torres
Kobe Bryant is arguably one of the fiercest competitors that has ever played this game. Only the greats like Michael Jordan can compare to Bryant. They just want to win so bad that they are willing to do anything to claim the NBA title.

Bryant’s work ethic is second to none. Many wonder how Bryant is able to dominate the game after so many years in the NBA. It’s simple, he puts in countless hours in the gym. He’s the first one to get there and the last one to leave.
The Lakers are hopeful they will have a top five NBA draft pick and this Tuesday we will find out if they will add a talented rookie to a roster that needs all the help that they can get. Stanley Johnson out of the University of Arizona could be a potential player that Lakers could target.
Johnson is originally from Southern California and spent some time working out with Bryant last summer. According to Mark Medina of the LA Daily News, Johnson called the workouts with Bryant the hardest of his entire life:
Johnson is still a very young man and probably has all the energy in the world, but he quickly learned what it takes to be one of the best in the world. At 36 years old, Bryant does not have the same athleticism he once did, which means he has to work extremely hard to keep up with the younger generation of players in the NBA.
Johnson was able to witness first hand what Bryant has to go through to deliver on a consistent basis, which is a good sign for anybody who drafts him on June 26. Could it be the Lakers? Only time will tell.
