10 Best Jordan Clarkson Moments of the Season

10 of 11

2. Back-door cut to win

Once again, it wasn’t the most ideal game-winner, but it was a smart play, in a crucial moment. Very few rookies would have the basketball knowledge to make that play happen. Instead of being a bystander and watching Wayne Ellington create his own shot to win (yikes), Clarkson read the defense and made the perfect move. Sure it was the most controversial win of the season, as the Lakers could have potentially grabbed the third worst record with the loss, but we have to be happy about Clarkson’s performance. Clarkson racked up 26 points on 9-15 shooting, along with 11 assists, 6 rebounds, and three steals.  From Probasketballtalk.com:

"In the March 30 contest, Clarkson joined Stephen Curry, John Wall, and Russell Westbrook as the only players in the NBA this season to record a game of at least 26 points, 11 assists, six rebounds, and three steal"

This is some elite company.
