It was Clarkson’s offense that earned him recognition throughout the season, but this play showed that he is more than a one-dimensional player. Clarkson started out the play well behind Joseph, but used his speed and jumping ability to make a spectacular play. But it was more than the block itself, it was the effort that Clarkson showed that cannot be ignored. Many skilled point guards of today’s game (Kyrie Irving, Damian Lillard) would not even attempt to make this play on the other end. If Clarkson continues to put this much heart and effort into every game to add to his talent and athleticism, we are looking at a point guard with scary potential.
