Nate “Tiny” Archibald: 19th Overall Pick 1970
“Tiny” is the one exception here being drafted at 19, as there were only 17 teams in the league at the time, making the Hall of Famer a second round draft selection. Archibald was a small guard out of UTEP, and was overlooked in the draft because of his size. However, he made up for his size using his quickness and his fearless style of play. Archibald was always willing to take it to the rim against any big man, and was also a great playmaker.
