4. All Five Titles
The Lakers have never been strangers to winning NBA Championships, however, they hadn’t captured the ultimate prize in the league since 1988 until Kobe and Shaquille O’Neal unleashed their furry on the entirety of the NBA at the start of the new millennium by winning three consecutive titles from 2000-02.
However, Kobe wasn’t done there. Seven years after the three-peat with Shaq, Kobe was still one of the most dominant forces in the league and led the Lakers again to the pinnacle of the Association in 2009 before doing it again in 2010.
Championships are like breathing for the Lakers, but Kobe kept that tradition alive. When the franchise could have faded from relevance in the late 1990s, he rejuvenated and led them back to glory. That can never be understated.
