18. A.C. Green

They don’t call him Iron Man for nothing, to this day A.C. Green holds the record for most consecutive NBA games played with 1,192. Although he ended up playing for four different teams during his NBA career, Green is still most known for his role with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Coming onto the scene in the middle of the Showtime Era, Green was known for his grit and hard work, a similar to Robert Horry, though the stats might not attest to it, he was a great player for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Rebounding and defensive prowess was Green’s bread and butter, and he even won a starting bid on the 1990 Western Conference All-Star team.

This is more impressive when you consider that he beat out the likes of Clyde Drexler and Chris Mullins as the starter, and also that he was one of three Lakers to start alongside Magic and James Worthy.

An interesting tidbit about Green is the fact that he won championships with Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in the 80’s and also with Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal in 2000.

A.C. Green still remains part of the Lakers family, often starring on TWC Sportsnet’s pre and post game shows.
