Lakers: Kobe Bryant’s Best Game vs Every NBA Team
Vs. New Orleans Pelicans/Hornets – March 23, 2007
Playing against the Oklahoma City Hornets in the wake of Hurricane Katrina forcing the team to move away from New Orleans from a bit, Kobe had the best game of his career against the franchise. In a winning effort, Kobe poured on one of his patented scoring efforts (again, this was in 2007 when it feels like Kobe was doing something historic in terms of his scoring because he had to) that the Lakers needed every bit of to secure the victory.

Bryant went off as he had an incredibly efficient shooting night as he went 16-29 in terms of shooting from the field. As he also knocked down all 16 of his free throw attempts on the night, Kobe ultimately ended up with 50 points on the night while he also added seven rebounds to his credit. Though he only had one assist and one block elsewhere in the box score, that he played the way he did at that time and only had one turnover deserves some credit as well.
Considering that Lamar Odom was the second leading scorer at 15 points, the Lakers needed all 50 points to get the win and Kobe gave it to them. That’s just what he did then and what he has done for most of his career.
