1. Lakers Get Stephen Curry, Warriors Get Swaggy, Lou

There’s no more ridiculous player in the NBA right now than the reigning MVP and arguably already the greatest shooter in the history of the league: Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry. Since he’s so ridiculous, why not throw him into an equally ridiculous trade scenario that lands him and his 35-foot lay-ups to the Lakers roster?

What would it take (per the Trade Machine and the rules of the salary cap) for the Lakers to acquire the 27-year-old superstar who might be the best player in the league as he’s just entering his prime? Well, it would actually only take two players that the Lakers have on the trade block in reality, Lou Williams and Nick Young—which is funny because I’m at least 99 percent sure that Swaggy P thinks that he’s Steph Curry.

All this really brings to light, seeing how this trade wouldn’t happen even if the fate of the planet rested on it going through, is the fact that Curry’s contract is still the best bargain in the NBA right now and it’s not close. Any team in the league would throw a max contract at him yesterday, but he’s still only making $12 million this season. In fans’ dreams, though, the Lakers would be more than happy to take that off of the Warriors’ books.
