2. Brice Johnson – PF – North Carolina

A potential candidate for ACC Player of the Year, North Carolina Tar Heels senior power forward Brice Johnson has been absolutely tearing it up this season after showing a ton of promise throughout his career in Chapel Hill. While he has some obvious shortcoming when you run down his measurable and so on, he’s been highly productive in one of college hoops’ elite conferences, which means at least something.

In his senior campaign, Johnson has put up a double-double per game (16.9 points, 10.6 rebounds) while playing only 27.4 minutes per game. He’s been the Tar Heels’ most consistent offensive force and has provided them huge lifts on both ends of the floor with big plays on numerous occasions. Throw in a bit of surprising athleticism and the 21-year-old has a ton working in his favor.

The obvious issues with Johnson are that he doesn’t have great size at 6-9, 230 pounds or even considerable length either. However, he’s a highly skilled player with underrated athleticism that has, again, been productive in the ACC at a high level. Though the Lakers could look elsewhere, Johnson more than warrants a look if he’s going to fall to them.
