PF. International. Dragan Bender. 3. player. 18. Obviously you have to consider the Boston Celtics one of the most intriguing teams in the draft (even if you’re a Lakers fan) just because of the plethora of selections that they have. However, that also makes it a bit more difficult when it comes to the NBA Mock Draft because not only do they have so many picks to work with, but they also are already a playoff team with fewer holes than most lottery teams.
Even with that in mind, though, there’s only really one option that makes sense if the Nets pick going to Boston stays at No. 3. Considering that they are invested in Jae Crowder already and that Jaylen Brown’s skill set is a bit redundant in that regard and while considering that adding another backcourt player would be quite silly, the pick for the Celtics here essentially has to be the top international prospect in Dragan Bender.

Though I have my personal concerns about Bender being a bust and being overdrafted due to the success of Kristaps Porzingis, why a team in need of real options in the frontcourt like Boston would want him on their roster is obvious. Therefore, I see the Celtics nabbing him at No. 3 and at least adding legitimate size to their frontcourt.
