19. Jordan Clarkson, Los Angeles Lakers (Restricted)

Lakers fans are clearly familiar with the work of guard Jordan Clarkson. Though he’s only been in the league for two years, he came into the NBA to Los Angeles as a second-round pick, thus meaning that he’s due to hit restricted free agency this summer. Given what he’s show, especially on the offensive end of the floor, through his first two seasons, he’s almost surely going to garner quite a bit of attention around the league.

Clarkson has shown over the past two years that he is a driven worker that is improving seemingly by the day. While he came into the NBA and the Lakers with a decent handle and great athleticism, he’s really developed his jump shot and become a complete offensive player—or closer to complete at least. Sure, he needs work on the defensive end of the floor, but JC has shown he has tremendous value on an NBA court.

If Clarkson were to leave the Lakers this summer, it would come as a shock to just about everyone. He really seems to love the Los Angeles lifestyle off the floor and Lakers fans have taken to him nicely in regards to his popularity. Moreover, he’s expressed desires to stay here. Really the only question is if there is a limit on what the Lakers would be willing to pay him and, on a related note, just how much of the Lakers cap space Clarkson will be taking up to be re-signed.
