Timothe Luwawu is one of the players that catches your eye for a lot of reasons when you think about his potential in the NBA. Not only does he have the size and athleticism on the wing that can easily turn heads, but he’s also a young player that’s been doing more than just sitting on the bench of a professional team in Europe. He’s been seeing the floor and showing real flashes as a guy who just turned 21 years old.

As part of a talented Mega Leks team in the Adriatic League last season, Luwawu played 31.1 minutes per game and put up 14.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. While his overall efficiency as an offensive player shooting a meager 39.8 percent from the floor is less than ideal, that he hit on 37.2 percent of his three-point attempts was a nice sign.

With his length, defensive potential, and the potential to be a perimeter scorer, Luwawu could really be a nice asset for a team like the Jazz. Not only do they thrive off of length and defense, but he’d also be joining a fellow Frenchman in Rudy Gobert and a team that knows how to foster prospects of his ilk.
