8. player. 67. . C. Utah. Jakob Poeltl

Height: 7-1
Weight: 239 pounds
Wingspan: 7-2.75
DOB: 10/15/95

Considering that he could’ve left after just one season with the Utah Utes, it’s not surprising that center Jakob Poeltl is now bound for the NBA and being looked at as a near lock for a lottery pick. The legitimate seven-footer had a tremendous career playing in the post for the Utes in the Pac-12 and has the skill as a big man to potentially be a force on the interior at the next level.

Obviously the size of Poeltl jumps off the page as he’s 7-1 with shoes on by the combine measurements. Though his length isn’t staggering to go along with that in terms of wingspan, that size alone is impressive. When you also couple that size with the skill that allowed him to average 17.3 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game as a sophomore last year, it’s not hard to see why Poeltl would be in consideration at No. 8.

As far as the Sacramento Kings go, I don’t think anyone can say with any kind of confidence what that organization has planned for this offseason. However, I think they may move on from DeMarcus Cousins and doing so would almost surely leave them with Poeltl or another big in the lottery.
