Most Likely Scenario
Fortunately for the Lakers, the worst case scenario is fairly unlikely. Randle should show noticeable improvement with the benefit of a healthy offseason and the new system should bring out the best in the entire team. He will most likely show a marked improvement in his game next year.
While improved defense is no guarantee, it is reasonable to expect a far more advanced offensive game from the powerful forward. His jump shot showed potential last season and, with a full offseason to work on it, should take a significant step towards reliability.
Randle should ultimately benefit from his health and a new coaching staff. Being able to devote himself fully to developing his skills rather than rehabbing could lead to a striking difference, as can the additional stability brought on by the ousting of his former coach.

While the best case scenario listed here may be a bit of a stretch, there is no reason to believe that the worst case scenario will come to fruition either. If Randle can begin to push towards the best case scenario in this upcoming season, the Lakers future will begin to look brighter and brighter.
