5. Luke Walton and the Warriors Coaching

This is by far the most obvious thing that the Lakers and fans should be watching in the NBA Finals. Luke Walton has already signed on to coach the Lakers once this season concludes and the Lakers are still interested in watching the guy who will be at the helm of the roster for the next five years and seeing what he’s capable of.

Obviously Walton isn’t the head coach in this situation, but that doesn’t mean that the Lakers aren’t going to get a good glimpse into what he’s able to do as a coach. Without question, Walton is going to bring many of the systems and principles that the Warriors use to find success to the Lakers and adapting them to the roster. As such, seeing what the Warriors do to combat the Cavaliers is a chief interest to the Lakers and fans.

99 percent of people around the Lakers aren’t worried in the slightest about Walton coming in to coach the team starting after the NBA Finals. In fact, most are quite excited about that notion. However, that doesn’t mean that one more high-profile look at what to expect from his coaching style wouldn’t be a bad thing at all for the organization and the fans.
