Perhaps one of my favorite things about Taurean Prince as a prospect is that he’s probably the most intriguing blend of upside and experience. Despite the fact that he played all four years with the Baylor Bears, Prince still will be only 21 years old at the time of the draft.
In addition to that, Prince showed that he can affect the game across the box score in his time with college with versatile offense, solid length and athleticism, and good instincts. In the middle-to-end of the first round of the NBA Draft, the Baylor product could be a steal.
19. Tyler Ulis
Age: 20
Position: PG
School/Country: Kentucky
Height: 5-10
Weight: 149 pounds
We’ll start with the weaknesses when it comes to Tyler Ulis out of Kentucky because they’re obvious—the guy is small at well under six-foot and weighing in at under 150 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine. Even still, Ulis is going to be a first-rounder and rightfully so.
I absolutely love the Wildcats product and what he can do at point guard. He’s lightning quick with unreal instincts and a versatile skill set. While his size might limit his upside as a whole, he’s been dealing with that size his whole life and succeeding and I think that continues as he heads to the NBA.
Next: Nos. 18-17: Baldwin, Korkmaz
