Lakers’ point guard, D’Angelo Russell made a surprise appearance at Brandon Ingram’s private workout for the team on Thursday
D’Angelo Russell underwent his fair share of turmoil during his first season with the Los Angeles Lakers, but he has since gone on the record to reveal that he is willing to do whatever it takes to regain the trust of the organization, and the fans.
As we all know, talk is cheap, however, Russell’s latest actions show that he is fully devoted to speaking his words into existence.
Last week, it was reported that Brandon Ingram had scheduled a private workout for Thursday, which, judging from social media, went well.
That said, reading through the quotes and looking at the pictures, it wasn’t Ingram that stood out to me, but the fact D’Angelo Russell was there working out in the background while Ingram was conducting his post-workout interviews.

How Lakers’ reporter, Shahan Ahmed managed to snap such a perfect picture is beyond me, but that’s besides the point.
Seeing how Russell was in attendance, in practice gear, one can also assume that he got reps in with what will likely be his teammate come June 23. This is a great sign, as any attempt to get a head start on building chemistry with Ingram is a great sign.
This becomes even more exciting when you realize that Brandon Ingram, Julius Randle and D’Angelo Russell were all chosen to be a part of the 2016 USA Basketball Select Team. Translation: The young Lakers will have a lot of time to get to know each other this summer.

Actions speak louder than words, so it’s encouraging to see that Russell seems to be serious about his future with the Los Angeles Lakers.
