2. Seth Curry (Unrestricted)

It’d be phenomenal if the Lakers could sign the Curry brother that is out in the NBA winning MVPs and leading his teams to 73 wins. However, the younger Curry brother made a name for himself at the end of last season as well after Seth Curry caught on with the Sacramento Kings. Now he’s hitting the open market and looks to be a real asset as a rotational guard for any buyers looking his way.

After playing four games sporadically in the NBA in the previous two seasons, Seth Curry finally gained some footing in Sactown last season, playing in 44 games for the Kings and even registering nine starts. In 15.7 minutes per contest, the 25-year-old put up 6.8 points, 1.5 assists, and 1.4 rebounds per game while posting impressive efficiency marks of 45.5 percent shooting overall and 45 percent shooting from long range.

Obviously the Lakers would love to see Curry improve on his defensive abilities and add other dimensions to his game as he nears his prime, but he proved last season that he’s becoming a real asset in this league as part of a rotation. Though you could see some team swoop in and dramatically overpay for him, I see Seth Curry as a budget option that the Lakers should be eyeing in free agency.
