Coming into his exit interview, Nick Young was reportedly undecided on whether or not he’d back with the Los Angeles Lakers next season. Any doubts about that were cleared up a few minutes into his interview.

“At my age, I don’t know if I kinda want to sit around and wait for a team to progress and grow. I kinda want to be on a playoff team and see what happens,” Young said.

Not spelled out enough? Before he left the podium Thursday morning, Young told reporters “I’ll see ya’ll when I come back and play against you next year.”

Young has a player option he’s almost guaranteed to decline this summer and teams will be eager to offer a shooter like Swaggy P an eight-figure salary. Don’t bank on the Lakers being one of those teams.
