Honorable Mention: James Harden

Just let us enjoy this one, okay?

Yes, Russell Westbrook is statistically one of the most selfish NBA players in the history of the game. Sure, it’s a little easier to gobble up the boards when your teammates run away from the ball like it’s a bee and yes, the Oklahoma City Thunder have only won 47 games this season.

Who cares? The man averaged a triple-double through 82 games. THROUGH 82 GAMES. WHAT?!

Only one other player has done that ever and Westbrook had more triple-doubles than he did. He’s a different animal and the same beast. He’s every point guard’s worst nightmare and worst of all he’s angry.

Because of the new awards show coming to a TV near you this summer, we won’t know who the MVP is until after the playoffs, but don’t tell Harden or Westbrook that. They’re both going to be going at each other like they lost it and it’s going to be wonderful.
